Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 Brett, Lilica, ROM, and Tap

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 original characters are the proof that Age 1000 is not another Time Patrol clip show. Bandai Namco repeats four names: Brett, Lilica, ROM, and Tap. They were designed inside a world Akira Toriyama helped shape, alongside a “never-before-seen original character” credit from early Age 1000 messaging. This page collects what is actually on screen. Brett

Brett is the announcement-trailer partner: headphones, new song, “look alive, another incident.” He runs with you toward trouble and jokes about stealing the spotlight. The July 2026 Gameplay Closer Look puts him in a four-stack glacier mission against Frieza Force soldiers, which is the first hard evidence he is a combat ally, not only a cutscene mascot. He is the easiest original to explain: GS Squad sidekick energy.

We do not have a published race sheet, Super list, or mentor tree for Brett. He may later be a Fighting Style or Assist. Until then, treat him as story + squad AI.

Lilica

Lilica’s confirm moment is the classroom: “It’s rare to see new faces in this class.” She is the university half of your double life. If Brett is the mission ping, Lilica is the campus ping. That split matters because Xenoverse 3 wants you to care about West City when you are not transforming. Lilica is how the trailer sells that.

No official kit. No confirmed Soul Switch. Do not download a fake stat block.

ROM

ROM is listed in Bandai Namco’s Welcome to West City character blurb as an original debut / story ally. Public footage is thinner than Brett’s. The name suggests a tech-coded Age 1000 resident — that is etymology, not a lore bible. When a trailer gives ROM a sentence of dialogue or a Super, this paragraph will grow. Until then, ROM is a confirmed name you should recognize in pause-screen credits and trailer chyrons.

Tap

Tap is the fourth named original. Community write-ups of the June 2026 footage describe a delinquent Saiyan with a pompadour; that look is widely associated with Tap but should be treated as footage interpretation until a caption locks it. What is locked: Tap is an official original ally in Age 1000. What is not locked: playable kit, race, or villain-turn theories.

How originals connect to systems you can actually learn

Your CaC is still the protagonist. Originals populate:

• Hub conversations in West City
• GS Squad mission teams in How to Play
• Possibly later mentor trees, Fighting Styles, or Assists via character creation

They are the argument for watching story cutscenes. If you skip them, Age 1000 collapses back into “generic Dragon Ball city.” If you pay attention, Brett’s music gag and Lilica’s classroom line are the tone Dimps wants — brighter, more slice-of-life, then sudden ki incidents.

Toriyama’s involvement, without myth-making

Bandai Namco, Toei, and Shueisha framed Age 1000 as a joint project. Akio Iyoku said Toriyama was involved in world-building and characters. Hirano said Toriyama started writing a new story and setting, which helped justify a sequel instead of endless Xenoverse 2 DLC. That is the official chain. It does not mean every hairstyle is a 2013 sketch. It does mean these four names are not intern OC cameos.

What not to confuse them with

• Fortuneteller Gal is a returning franchise NPC function for MistyPix summons, not one of the four debuts.
• Gamma 1 and Bulma are returning support, not originals.
• Your Android CaC is not ROM.
• Comment-section “pink singer is the villain” takes are not confirmed.

1. Watch the Welcome to West City trailer on the trailers page (or the embed on West City).
2. Skim this page so the four names stick.
3. Build your own body on races.
4. Stop waiting for Brett to be a DLC fighter until Bandai Namco says he is.

Original characters are how Xenoverse 3 advertises a new era. Your job is still to empty Ki bars on Combat. Let Brett steal the spotlight in the cutscene; you steal the Break Rush.
