2026 timeline
January 2026 — Project AGE 1000. Bandai Namco, Shueisha, and Toei tease a new game set in a future Dragon Ball world. No Xenoverse 3 name yet.
19 April 2026 — Battle Hour reveal. Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour in Los Angeles names the project Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, shows the announcement trailer (Brett, city incidents, custom hero), and sets platforms plus a 2027 window. Xenoverse 2’s final DLC path (Future Saga Chapter 4, summer 2026) is framed as the end of that game’s support. Wishlist pages go live on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox — see platforms.
23 June 2026 — Welcome to West City. First real gameplay. Hub is West City in Age 1000. You join the Great Saiya Squad and West City University. Originals Brett, Lilica, ROM, and Tap are named. Bulma and Gamma 1 recruit. Soul Assist and Soul Switch are explained with Krillin, Piccolo, Vegeta, Future Trunks, and Tien as examples. US Road Tour dates begin rolling out.
July 2026 — Road Tour starts + Gameplay Closer Look. 9 July official video walks a glacier mission with HUD callouts, three squad partners including Brett, Goku-motion versus Vegeta-motion, and Super / Ultimate / Assist / Switch trackers. Event demos appear at Fun Expo in Seoul and later Gamescom / TGS circuits. Booth logistics: Road Tour.
August 2026 — Gamescom interviews. Producer Masayuki Hirano: 130 characters at launch including non-fighters; six races; Android included; all races awaken; transformation timer removed after demo surveys; cross-play and cross-progression yes; cross-save no (cross-play); Galactic Patrol arc not at launch because it was announced after XV3 production began (DLC).
3 September 2026 — Fight Your Way / State of Play. Character creation trailer. Six races on camera. Android highlighted. Fighting Styles, Soul Assist, Awoken, Soul Switch, Abilities, 130 characters to learn from.
3 September 2026 — Combat customization article. MistyPix, Fortuneteller Gal, Bond, Skill Trees. Awoken tied to Ki Gauge. Ki Charge added to basic controls.
31 August 2026 — TGS booth confirmed. Dragon Ball official site: Xenoverse 3 playable at Bandai Namco’s Tokyo Game Show 2026 exhibit. Two locked avatars (each with a combat style and Awoken Skill), GS Squad mission, Broly (Super) SS Full Power on a time limit, souvenir keychains. Full booth page: TGS 2026.
