Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 DLC
Launch is Age 1000. Galactic Patrol content is planned as an early update, not a day-one story beat.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 has no paid DLC calendar and no season pass on any storefront. What exists is a producer quote. At Gamescom 2026, Masayuki Hirano was asked about Dragon Ball Super’s Galactic Patrol arc (Planet-Eater Moro and the manga’s return). He said the team is already thinking about it, but the arc was announced after Xenoverse 3 development began, so it will not be there at launch. He wants “constant updates and DLC,” and in that sense Galactic Patrol “will be one of the first updates.”
That is the entire first-party DLC sheet. This page exists so search results for “Xenoverse 3 DLC” do not invent Pack 1 fighters. The game is still upcoming for 2027. Pair the quote with the news timeline and the release date window.
What “not at launch” actually means
Age 1000, West City, the Great Saiya Squad, six races including Android, Awoken Skills, Soul Switch, and about 130 characters including non-fighters are the launch pitch. Galactic Patrol, Moro, and any Super manga material that post-dates the start of production are post-launch candidates.
Hirano also said some Xenoverse 1 and 2 characters return at launch “alongside new characters,” with more later. “More later” is not a list. It is a support promise in the shape of Xenoverse 2, which ran for a decade with a large paid-pack and free-update cadence. Expecting long support is reasonable. Expecting a dated 2027–2028 spreadsheet is not.
What we will not publish as DLC facts
- A Pack 1 / Pack 2 fighter table with empty portraits filled by popular tweets.
- Ultra Ego, Black Frieza, Granolah, or Moro as launch souls. They belong in the “possible Galactic Patrol update” bucket until a trailer shows a Skill Tree node.
- A price for a season pass.
- A claim that DLC will delay the 2027 window. Hirano framed the arc as post-launch because it missed the start of production — the opposite of “we are slipping the box.”
- Cross-save for DLC inventories. Cross-play and cross-progression are planned; cross-save is not. Cross-play.
When a real pack is announced, it gets a dated heading here, a news row, and a roster update the same day.
How launch content already leaves room for updates
The CaC plus Bond Skill Trees is a hook that can grow. Mentors arrive through MistyPix and the Fortuneteller Gal. A post-launch teacher can drop into West City without rebuilding Conton City. Fighting Styles are already described as “130 including Ginyu, Recoome, Whis, Hit, Piccolo, and many more” — “many more” is the live-service sentence. Soul Assist has two families and two stored charges; new assists can slot into that HUD without a new button.
That architecture is why Hirano can say “constant updates” without showing a slide. It is also why this wiki refuses to treat every manga name as a leaked node.
XV2 history as context, not a copy-paste roadmap
Xenoverse 2 shipped extra story chapters, mentor packs, and free festivals for years. Future Saga Chapter 4 was framed at Battle Hour 2026 as that game’s final add-on (summer 2026). Xenoverse 3 is the successor, not extra Conton City DLC. Using XV2’s 20-plus pack count as a minimum for XV3 is fan hope. Using it as a schedule is a lie. We will log actual XV3 packs only.
What to do before any pack exists
- Wishlist the 2027 SKU. Platforms.
- Learn the launch combat loop so a later Moro fight is extra, not your first Ki Break lesson. Combat.
- Follow TGS 2026 and the Road Tour for launch-build impressions, not DLC keynotes. Booths are showing Broly (Super) SS Full Power, not Galactic Patrol.
- Keep official links bookmarked. Pack announcements will hit Bandai Namco and Steam before they hit a tier-list YouTube community post.
The Updates Hub will turn this article into a pack-by-pack log after launch. Until a trailer names a pack, the honest sentence is: launch is Age 1000; Galactic Patrol is an intended early update; nothing else is dated.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions.
Is the Galactic Patrol arc in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 at launch?
No. Hirano said it was announced after development began, so it will not be in the launch story. He called it one of the first updates. Timeline: news.
Will Moro be playable?
Not confirmed. The Galactic Patrol arc implies that material eventually, not a launch soul. Confirmed names stay on the roster.
Is there a season pass?
No season pass or pack price is published. The 2027 window itself is on the release date page.
Does DLC change cross-play?
Unknown. Cross-play and cross-progression are planned for the base 2027 SKUs; own-the-pack-where-you-play is the safe assumption. Cross-play.
