This Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 vs Xenoverse 3 comparison is for people whose muscle memory is Conton City. XV3 is not a graphics patch. Dimps moved the hub, rebuilt Ki, put Supers on gauges, added Soul Assist / Soul Switch, and promised cross-play. The new game is upcoming for 2027. What you should unlearn in one sitting

1. Stamina break as the identity of the game. Identity is now empty their Ki.
2. Ten supers on a bar. You have four plus Ultimate plus Assist.
3. Transformation as a timed DPS steroid only. Awoken is a Ki stance; Switch is a character rental.
4. Conton City housing as home. Home is a walkable West City with other players.
5. “My XV2 CaC will look the same.” Rebuild. Screenshot sliders.

What you can keep

Dragon Ball knowledge. Combo curiosity. The desire to look ridiculous in a plaza. Ginyu-style jokes — those styles are named again. Mentor grind patience, now dressed as Bond.

DLC philosophy

Hirano said XV2 was always a long-term project, and XV3 will also get “constant updates and DLC.” Galactic Patrol is a future update candidate, not a launch chapter. Do not buy XV3 expecting Super’s newest anime arc on disc. Do expect a live-ops sequel, just with a new hub. Track that on news.
